The musicians of Cordâme continue their exploration of French composers; after Satie and Debussy, they now transport us into the universe of Maurice Ravel. Always with a fresh perspective, composer and double bassist Jean Félix Mailloux composed pieces inspired by Ravel’s impressionist world and adapted several of his most celebrated works. At the crossroads of chamber music and jazz, Cordâme’s music creates wondrous sound images evoking imaginary landscapes of immense beauty.
