Our Sustainability Policy

Since its inception, Festival Classica has embraced its mission to serve as a meeting place for artists, classical music, and the broader community, with a special focus on the local scene

Festival Classica is committed to continuously improving our sustainability practices and minimizing our environmental footprint while making a lasting social impact. Our Sustainability Policy is a framework that balances ambitious goals with tangible actions and helps us stay true to our values.

Commitment that is recognized

In 2024, for the second consecutive year, the Festival has achieved level 3 of the Bureau de normalisation du Québec’s standard for responsible event management. Our organization is also recognized by the Réseau des femmes en environnement and the Conseil québécois des événements écoresponsables.

Scope of our Sustainability Policy

Our Sustainability Policy applies to all our activities, including those of the Nouvel Opéra Métropolitain.

We encourage all staff, contract workers, interns, partners, suppliers, and guests to embrace and support our efforts and initiatives.

Directions and objectives

  • Integrate eco-responsible practices into the Festival’s daily operations.
  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by adopting sustainable technologies and prioritizing local sourcing.
  • Raise awareness and equip stakeholders with tools for responsible management.

 Concrete actions
